The bond will be weakened and the retention likely won't be nearly as good sadly. Sometimes Shock Curing can be visibly noticeable - if the base of the lashes turn white, it is a sure sign of shock curing. To prevent it, make sure your humidity and temperature is within the required range for the glue you are using and if the client has watery eyes, dry them before proceeding. If it happens, you have options. any that turn white can be removed individually but otherwise, if a lot of lashes have already been applied, you may want to have your client come back in for a sooner fill- this is what I choose to do in situations like this, personally. I will have clients come for a Mini Fill in 1 week, at which time I will check my environment and make sure there is no possibility of shock curing in future.

You should definitely get a separate bank account for your business <3 This will help keep your expenses and book keeping separate from your personal + much more organized and easy to deal with at tax time. You can absolutely write off any business permits/ insurance etc. as a business expense. Definitely use your business account for those expenses and be sure to keep all of your receipts for tax time (organized by month). You should consider reaching out to an accountant. They aren't expensive (in some cases they even give free advice).. They will help you with everything you need to know so you are compliant with your state regulations <3 I know it seems daunting and like a lot at first but I promise you, it isn't so bad once you dive into it and it is so, so worth it <3 YOU GOT THIS!

Im just hoping I don’t get denied after paying for a zoning permit for a house based business through my municipal / get denied by the state board for a salon license for my small space especially after paying these fees and through my business bank account. And for the steps of this process, I don’t know if I should do the zoning agreement first or the cosmetology state board license for the salon first ….Queen of Over thinking lol

Lollllll good point friend. I show students how to dissect them so they can be used for inspo but not copied.. this is the trick .. if it’s copied, it might not look the same on your client but with that right techniques, you can create the exact look, just tailored to your client- if that makes sense ❤️
